It’s the Christmas Season, my favourite time of year.  I’ve been pondering on the true meaning of Christmas, actually more of what Christ thinks of Christmas time in this day and age. This last week at Youth I asked the kids what does Christmas mean personally to them without the normal Christian response of it’s about Jesus . I was given mostly the same response; a time of getting together with family and friends, lots of food, presents, and no school!! 

These are all amazing things but I’ve felt for the last weeks that God was crying out to this generation to really get back to the simple focus of Christmas.  That He really wanted our time, I can’t put it totally in words or what it looks like but I know He wants real personal time with each one of us.  It’s like He wants us to ask Him how He’s doing, not just coming to Him with needs, but to really hear His heart.  Let’s try not to let this busy Christmas season pass without spending quality time with the one responsible for bringing the Season!!
